Overview

How it plays

Corrupt an enemy and make them fight for your side. Corruption is the Voodoo school's control spell and one of the weirder tools in the game - the affected enemy attacks their former allies and takes no friendly fire from your team, which means you've temporarily gained a free combatant.

StrategyUse it on the toughest enemy in a group. A corrupted elite or special attacking its own faction deals significant damage while drawing return fire from its former allies. In tight spaces where enemies cluster, a single corrupted special can clear the room before the spell expires.

Strengths

  • Turns the strongest enemy in a group into a temporary ally
  • Corrupted target takes no friendly fire so it's safe to fight next to
  • Effective at short cooldown compared to other control spells

Weaknesses

  • Effect expires - corrupted enemy returns to hostile after duration
